Omschrijving
Duck with a feather effect for a sustainbale impact. Natural rubber is a rubber-like material found in the milk sap (latex) of many different rubber plants. It is a natural and regrowing raw material. The milk sap is obtained by slitting the bark of the tree, it is then collected and further processed. The result is a durable and sustainable item with a special haptic feel that is produced without the use of crude oil. Furthermore, since it is biodegradable, it is kind to the environment.
As natural rubber is a natural product, the colour and consistency of the product may change over time. They are not suitable for use in chlorinated water (e.g. in swimming pools).
A white coating or film occasionally forms on natural rubber, which is very similar to a powder. This is merely a sign that the duck is a completely natural product and is made of high-quality natural rubber.
This occurs when the wax escapes from the material to the surface as it ages at ambient temperature. The wax is added in small quantities as a release agent to the vulcanisation process. This process is known as "blooming".
